For uncomplicated application Sheet mask Cloth masks, also known as sheet masks or cellulose masks, are soaked in a highly effective serum during manufacture. Before you put the mask on your face, you unfold it. With high-quality sheet masks, you may have to peel off additional protective layers. The mask already has holes for the eyes, nose and mouth. This makes it easy to adapt to the shape of your face and provides immediate and long-lasting moisture.

For thorough cleansing of the skin Cleansing mask Cleansing masks are ideal for thoroughly cleansing the skin and removing dead skin cells. Masks with a cleansing effect are also often used for impure skin, as they rid the skin of excess sebum. They make the skin feel supple and smooth, give it a rosy complexion and prepare the skin perfectly for subsequent care, because active ingredients can be absorbed much better by the skin.

How do I use face masks correctly? Face masks can help, but only if used correctly! A mask can be used regularly to pamper the skin with an extra portion of care or whenever there is an acute care deficit. As a rule, masks can be applied 1-2 times a week in the evening on a cleansed face. The application time can vary here, but always depends on the skin type and lies usually between 10-20 minutes. There are also so-called over-night masks that are absorbed into the skin overnight and unfold their effect. Excess mask residue is then lightly massaged into the skin. Then the usual skin care ritual can be carried out.
Face masks STEP BY STEP
  • Cleansing before the mask. Cleanse your face, neck, décolleté and hands.
  • Application of the mask. When applying a cream mask, use a spatula or cosmetic brush to spread the mask evenly, avoiding the eyes, mouth and nose.
  • Leave the mask on. Leave the mask on according to the time indicated on the packaging and how your skin feels, and enjoy your me-time.
  • Remove the mask. Depending on the type, either remove the mask directly, as with a cloth mask, or massage an exfoliating mask into the skin with moist fingertips, for example. Wash off the remains thoroughly with warm water or remove them with a cosmetic tissue.
  • Care after the mask. Depending on how your skin feels, continue your usual skincare routine.
  • Additional masks tips
  • FEEL THE PEEL Optionally, a peeling can be done beforehand. This allows the active ingredients of the mask to be better absorbed by the skin.
  • FRESH KICK Store a gel mask in the refrigerator before use to enhance the cooling effect.
  • SHEET MASK TIP Often, serum remains in the packaging of sheet masks, which can be applied to the neck and décolleté and gently patted in.
  • ME-TIME Masks are a luxury for the skin. Give yourself and your skin a time-out and enjoy it consciously, for example by paying attention to your breathing.
