Facial serum Anti-aging serum for radiant skin Learn all about high performance serums for your skincare routine, including their effects, ingredients, uses and benefits. Find out which is the best serum for your skin and how you can take your skincare routine to the next level with the right face serum.
What is a serum? A facial serum is a highly concentrated care product specially developed for facial skin. It is characterised by its light texture and contains a high concentration of active ingredients. Facial serums are an important step in the skincare routine, as they provide the skin with targeted active ingredients and can effectively address specific skin problems.
Serum for the face: Effect The effect of a face serum depends on the ingredients it contains, which can vary depending on the product and skin needs. To achieve the best possible results for yourself and your skin, it is advisable to choose a face serum according to your own skin needs and incorporate it regularly into your skincare routine.
Mature skin Anti-Aging Serum A firming and tightening anti-wrinkle serum is often formulated with active ingredients such as vitamin C, retinol or peptides that can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin elasticity and promote a firmer appearance. All of our BABOR serums fall into the "anti-aging serum" category as they either prevent the first signs of ageing or visibly reduce wrinkles. The right anti-age serum, like any other skincare product, should always be chosen according to skin type and skin need. We help you find the right serum and introduce you to our anti-ageing serums.
Sallow skin Glow-serum Facial serums with light-reflecting pigments form the perfect basis for a more radiant skin, as they create a delicate glow and even out irregularities in the complexion. Discover now
AHA Serum Alpha hydroxy acids (AHA or fruit acid for short) gently remove dead skin cells and promote skin renewal. This can result in smoother, more radiant skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines, skin tone irregularities and clogged pores. When using AHA skincare products, it is important to follow instructions carefully and use sunscreen as skin can become more sensitive to sun exposure. Discover now
Dry skin Moisturising serum A moisturising serum with hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid can help to hydrate the skin and make it look plumper and smoother. Discover now
Hyaluron serum Hyaluronic acid serum binds moisture and provides plump, smooth skin. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that occurs in the skin and is instrumental in retaining moisture. However, with age, the natural production of hyaluronic acid often decreases, which can lead to dry and wrinkled skin. A hyaluronic serum provides the skin with an extra portion of this moisture-binding substance. It can be used as a stand-alone product or as a supplement to an existing skin care routine. Hyaluronic serum is suitable for different skin types, from dry to oily skin, and can be applied in the morning or evening. In the long term, the use of hyaluronic acid serum can help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and improve skin health.
Uneven skin Brightening and balancing serum Serums with ingredients like vitamin C or niacinamide can help reduce dark spots, hyperpigmentation or uneven skin tone. Discover now
Vitamin C Serum Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that stimulates collagen production and protects against UV damage. A vitamin C serum can help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and pigmentation spots while giving the skin a radiant complexion. However, it should be noted that the stability of vitamin C in serums can vary and can be sensitive to light and air. Therefore, it is important to choose a well-formulated and stabilised product to achieve the best results. It is recommended to use the serum regularly and in combination with a proper skin care routine to achieve the best results.
Blemished skin Pore refining serum Salicylic acid serum is known for its pore-refining effect and can help to reduce impurities. We use Rosa Canina extract in our BABOR pore-refining serum for this purpose. Discover now
Serum application A facial serum should be used after cleansing and before moisturiser. A small amount of serum is applied to slightly damp skin and gently massaged into the skin. The serum should be completely absorbed by the skin before applying the usual face cream. When using multiple serums, allow enough time for each serum to absorb before applying the next. Depending on the skin type and skin problem, application can be made in the morning and/or evening.
Facial serum All advantages at a glance
  • Highly concentrated active ingredients Facial serums contain a variety of active ingredients in higher concentrations than conventional face creams. This allows them to work more intensively and effectively treat targeted problems such as wrinkles, pigmentation spots, acne or dryness.
  • Light texture Serums have a light, mostly gel-like texture that is quickly absorbed by the skin. This allows the active ingredients to penetrate deep into the skin and unfold their effect.
  • Versatility There are facial serums for different skin types and skin problems. Whether you have oily, dry, sensitive or mature skin - there is a serum for every skin type.
  • Additional moisturising Serums not only provide the skin with active ingredients, but also serve as an additional source of moisture. They can be used under the usual face cream to provide the skin with extra moisture.
  • Anti-Aging-Effect Many face serums contain antioxidants and peptides that can protect the skin from premature ageing. They promote skin regeneration and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
