Which product is right for me?
This is good for the skinDon't give in to couperose! couperoseBABOR ONLINE TEAM9 Julai 2020 If our skin suddenly turns red, it might not just be caused by stress, it could be couperose, a mild form of rosacea. Fine veins and redness become visible on the skin.

Entire skin care lines are now available to prevent unwanted skin redness, e.g. DOCTOR BABOR REFINE CELLULAR. However, redness often strikes when we can use it the least – we will show you which product you can use to quickly remedy couperose!

SOS Beauty Helpers for Couperose

The Couperose Dual Solution by DOCTOR BABOR provides immediate help with couperose. The combination of serum and primer was specially developed for couperose and contains pigments that make redness disappear instantly. When used regularly, the product also reduces and prevents redness.

Application:

Use couperose cream regularly to reduce redness caused by couperose in the long term. If necessary, a light foundation can also be applied. Tip: Do not use too much rouge; instead, use concealer or camouflage cream and a light-colored powder to compensate for the redness!

This is good for skin affected by couperose!

Generally, a healthy lifestyle contributes to strengthening the immune system and can have a positive effect on couperose. In addition to the right skincare, this includes a healthy diet, sufficient exercise and a well-balanced mind.

Hot & greasy? Warm & mild is better!

Nutrition for couperose

We advise eating mild foods that do not additionally stimulate the blood circulation. Avoid spicy foods and extremes such as hot or very cold food. This is good for your skin: Vitamin A (e.g. in sweet potatoes, carrots & kale), zinc (e.g. in oat flakes and pulses) and turmeric. Drink plenty of water!

Time for Kale – Kale Salad

Couperose recipe

This recipe was taken from the cookbook KISS THE COOK by Laura Koerver. An excellent cookbook with many incredibly tasty and healthy recipes.

Ingredients for 4 BABORistas:

  • 500 g Hokaido pumpkin, cut into coarse pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 600 g kale leaves
  • Salt
  • 100 g cashew nuts
  • 1 pomegranate
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • 2 avocados, diced

Pomegranate dressing

  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 100 ml pomegranate juice
  • 2 tbsp white Aceto Balsamico
  • 100 ml olive oil
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground pepper

Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Spread the pumpkin pieces on a baking tray, drizzle with olive oil and roast in the hot oven for 30–40 minutes until they are tender.

Meanwhile, wash the kale leaves thoroughly, pluck the green from thick stems and chop coarsely. Then put the kale in boiling water with salt and cook for about 2 minutes - it should still be al dente. Drain and rinse briefly in ice water to retain the color.

Crush the cashew nuts and spread them on a second baking tray. Place the baking tray in the oven and roast the cashews for 10 minutes. Halve the pomegranate, knock out the seeds with a spoon and remove the white skin.

Mix kale, pumpkin, cashews and pomegranate seeds loosely in a large bowl. Whisk the ingredients for the dressing with a small whisk. Stir in the dressing and season the salad with salt and pepper. Finally, carefully add the avocado cubes.

No-Go Power-Workout!

Sports and couperose

Those who suffer from couperose should avoid intensive workouts, as strenuous sports activities can cause long lasting redness in the face. Yoga is perfect for couperose: The gentle exercises boost fitness without raising your pulse too high and they are relaxing at the same time! Plus, these exercises can make us look sooo good ;) ...

Less is more!

Facial cleansing for couperose

Less is more with couperose – and that starts with facial cleansing. Use a mild cleansing milk and afterwards a soothing facial toner to strengthen the skin's natural protective function after cleansing. It is best to use one with moisturizing Aloe Vera and thermal water, such as Thermal Toning Essence by BABOR.
